该乐团组建于1984年,现有演奏员70余人,曾代表广州市中学生参加第六届全运会开幕式管乐演奏,先后应邀参加广州市教育基金百万行、普通中学高考庆功会、世界梅氏宗亲第七届恳亲大会、广州市第一届教育博览会、广州市中学生运动会、广州市各界人士庆祝香港回归祖国联欢夜(97.6.30)、广东戏剧百场演出闭幕式等重大活动的演奏。在第五届羊城音乐花会“群众管乐大汇演”中获得优秀奖(最高奖项);第三届羊城博览月“管乐节”演出中获一等奖(最高奖项);广州市中学生第十一届“五.四”艺术节中,管乐演奏《陕北民歌联奏》获一等奖;在1998年和2001年广州市“通利杯”学校管乐汇演中均获得一等奖;1999年8月应邀参加香港“管乐缤纷99”管乐节交流;2001年8月应邀参加韩国济洲“2001夏日国际管乐节”;2002年8月参加了APDA第12届年会广州国际管乐演奏大会音乐会获得国内外有关人士的好评;2004年参加
“第三届‘柏斯杯’雅马哈管乐邀请赛”中荣获中学组银奖;2005年6月参加广州市第四届学校艺术节“通利杯”管弦乐类比赛,节目(作品)合奏《Sedona》荣获中学组一等奖的第一名。
侨中管乐团担负着校内外一系列重大活动的演奏任务,在社会各界中享有较高的声誉,为广州中学学生乐队中的佼佼者。管乐活动活跃了校园,培养了学生个性特长,促进了学校素质教育的发展。
The wind band of Guangdong Overseas Chinese Middle School
was built in 1984 with members of over 70. The band once participated
in, on behalf of the high school students of the municipality,
the opening ceremony of the Sixth National Sports Meeting, Education
Foundation One Million Yuan Parade, the Seventh “Mei” (family
name) Get-together Rally in the word, the first Guangzhou Education
Fair, Guangzhou High School Sports Meeting 1997, Hong Kong’s
Return to Motherland Evening Party in Guangzhou, Guangzhou One
Hundred Drama Show closing ceremony, etc… The wind band once
received first prize on “Big Mass Wind Band Performance” of
the fifth Yangcheng Music Flower Concert, first prize on Wind
Band Festival of the Third Yangcheng Fair Month, first prize
on the wind band performance of “Shanbei Folk Song Performance”
during the eleventh “ May 4 th ” Art Day of Guangzhou Middle
School Students and the first prize for Guangzhou “Tongli Cup”
School Wind Band Competition in 1998 , 2001 and 2005. The band
was also invited to attend numerous exchange activities, such
as Hongkong International Band Festival—Band Fair 99, Cheju
Summer International Band Festival 2001 in Korea , and the 12th
Annual Conference APBDA —Guangzhou International Band Convention
for 2002. In 2004, the band was awarded silver prize in the
3rd “Perth Cup” YAMAHA Inviting competition.
The wind band is engaged in all important performance inside
and outside the school It enjoys a high fame among the social
circles of Guangzhou. The wind band performances have played
a role in developing the students’ personality and promoting
the school’s quality education.
